Gettin It Done
-Today the 10 of us are realizing it is already Thursday-so we're thinkin we need to keep a steady pace and work on getting the work done!
-Early morning started out with at good breakfast of eggs over bread/really good if you haven't tried it!
-Then each of us to our chores-Rick, Don,Brian and several hired Belize workers down at the church site sorking block, mixing cement/mud and placing blocks upon blocks!
-At the orphanage Robert,Mike doing electrical and plumbing jobs. They have said they think they will be starting a business called R and M electric and plumbing. They had some dirty jobs.
-Fonda,Greg and Marvin(Belize worker)cut rebar lots of it -into certain lengths so to be used by the church workers to place in their cement.
-Carole so faithfully prepares meals and oversees along with Darlene the menus and meals.
-Today was rain on and off which helped to cool things a little. One little episode of the van getting stuck at the church work site took a little extra shoving to get it out, but out it came!
-Tonight after devotions with the orphanage children, we witnessed 3 new arrivals. 2 boys and 1 girl were brought in late by a social worker. All we know right now is that they were dirty and hungary. It was very sad to witness this occurance. The little girl just kept her arm up over her face as much as she could, laid in her bed and did not want to get up! The boys were more concerned about their hungar and went about like little wolves when they were given food.
-It broke our hearts, but also warmed our hearts to see the children who are here and very happy kids-to see them reach out to the new ones and want to help them! That is part of what its all about here! Extending the love of Christ to these little ones. Because they cannot help it where they are tonight, they are not responsible for the choices their parents made to be irresponsible! They are so easy to love and play with! They wear their emotions on their little faces and have such a great laughter and joy to spread around, I hope we can all be a little more like them, spread more joy-and share Jesus-signing off your hostess Fonda Cassidy for Hosanna House-Belize
