Jan 22nd, 2007
-A very hot day for a team of 10-Rick and Carole(Pa), Don, Mike, Greg and Brian from (Pa.) Robert and Fonda from (Va.) and our fearless leaders Bob and Darlene from (Pa.)
Robert and Mike worked at the orphanage wall doing wiring which was a very hard job in the sun all day trying to get lighting around the entire wall so there can be lights at night!
-Rick,Don, Fonda and Roderick(from Belize)picked up 6 loads of rock out of the nearby river and delivered to the church's foundation work.We placed rock and sand into a part of the foundation getting ready for a outside Sunday School room entrance. We placed forms for cement to be poured tomarrow. We also went to a block place to get block which we also loaded into the back of a van.
-Carole kept things rolling in the kitchen, getting things ready for our dinner meal.It takes alot of time to prepare meals here in Belize. Our lunch was prepared by the cook at the orphanage. We had rice and beans and chicken. It was really good.
It was so hot today that the guys would stick their heads into the river as we were picking up stones they said it really felt good.Tonight we had ice-cream for a special treat after our dinner meal.
-Well i had better be signing off for the evening so we can get to bed and get some power sleep to enable us to work hard tomarrow. Thanks for the time to host this blog minute signing off-Fonda Cassidy
