-Today was an exceptional day! god surely does work in exceptional ways let me share-
-we (the team)was up as usual by 7:00am-getting breakfast together(the ladies)the men getiing building projects organized to get started. 2 men Robert and Mike worked continuously to get electric not only wired but fixtues to go with it!Yea, they did it by this evening they had 7 lights around an outside wall up and working-they pulled approz.300 feet of wire! Does that tell you anything!
-5 of us worked at the church building site-Don,Brian,Rick,Greg,Fonda-we were scooping sand and cement together to be poured, building forms and moving rocks--I mean movin rocks!We had to go about 1 mile away to the river and first collect the rocks-that means lift alot of rocks!I (Fonda)actually drove the van several times to pick rocks.The big joke today wa would our tires hold up they were getting pretty bald!After a great lunch,we were all back at our jobs until it was so incredibly hot we all took off to the river(all but 4)It felt really good to get wet and look into the beautiful riples of a clear river and enjoy!We were glad the river water was clear,our van driver lost our van keys in tthe water, and had to dive about 2-3 times into the water about 12 feet down and retrive our van keys!On the way hime which we were approx. 17 miles away one of the guys mentioned about our bad tires and aobut that time we had a flat big time.WE had to all get out, 3 caught rides with another truck to get our spare which was at the orphanage.Oh well when we fianally got home several hours later the whole place was peaceful and the new lights were burning, we had a great supper made by Carole of chicken,braised potatos,salad, and mixed fruit(banannas,and mangoYummm)really good.We had devotions and played with the kids at the orphanage and came back to our bunk houses.We hope we are giving everyone a sample part of our day and that they are enjoying being with us for a little adventure!If you are enjoying our writings please leave a comment!Signing off your hostess for this blog-Fonda Cassidy
