Almost Done!

Today will be the last blog that I write. We will be leaving tomorrow around 8:30am and getting on the plane at 11:00am or 12:00pm. So today the men are finishing up their jobs on the church and the women are going to clean and start packing stuff up.
Yesterday the men had another hot day, and when they came back for lunch they brought along with them the masons that have been helping with the church. They were very quiet, but they had no problem eating a lot of food. After lunch back to building they went, mean while the women cleaned, washed clothes, played with the kids that are too young to go to school, and organized the clothes and toiletry room for Miss Lerma (the cook and director while Miss Joans is away).
Devotions were held once again by Cindy and they were fun as usual. This time we played Simon says and the kids seemed not to listen very well. After devotions we put the kids to bed and last night they were pretty wound up and did not want to go to sleep. Darlene had to stand in front of the older girls room for a long time before they would go to sleep.
Tonight we are going to have a little party with the kids and we are going to bake them a cake. Since we have been trying their food a lot this week we decided to let then try our food. This will also give us a chance to say good bye to them, because we will not have much of a chance tomorrow morning.
Although we are ready to come home to some cooler weather and where their are less bugs that bite, we are going to leave with all of these children in our hearts. We will also take home new friendships within our church family and within the workers and children that we have come in contact with in Belize. Thank you for reading my blog and see you Sunday at church... Ruth Smith
