Belize Work Team
Hi, This is Betty Carey telling you about my experiences to Belize:
Day 1 - Sunday
Bob & Darlene Eberly and Betty Carey from Michigan left Greencastle at 3 AM. The flight from Washing Dulles to Charlotte left right on time. In Charlotte we were to meet Royce and Joyce Wilcox from Michigan. We were concerned because we were not sure of what they looked like but Joyce and Darlene found each other as we were approaching time to leave for Belize. The flight was delayed one hour because of mechanical problems. Arrived in Belize City and had to wait a short time for Tony who was to pick us up. Headed for Hosanna House -- on the way we stopped and ate at an open air restaurant named Cheers. Arrived at Hosanna House and were greeted by the 22 children living there. Unloaded luggage and put it into our rooms. We needed to go into a town called Dangures for water and bread. Came back and visited with the kids until bedtime. During the night it poured rain which sounded very load on a metal roof.
