Day 3, Tuesday
Here we are again!!
The day started out as usual -- except this morning Royce made omlets which were real good. Joyce and Betty did dishes -- Bob & Darlene took kids to school and then had to get things for our new girl. Royce made curtain rods for the new curtains and then went on to other jobs. Joyce and Betty went to the store room to try to get the many pairs of shoes sorted. Shoes, shoes, shoes, of all sizes and colors and some we have not found the mate to yet!!!!
Broke for lunch with lots of fresh fruit. yummm.
Bob decided we should go see a Mennonite colony so off we went. It was quite a way off and the last road was more like a farm road. We stopped to see how the saw mill worked, using oxen to run it, but they were not working today. We did get a general idea of how it ran. On the way back we stopped at a Mennonite farm and Darlene bought fresh cabbage, lettuce and cauliflower from their garden. They had a slouth or two running around their yard. We had to stop in town to buy some school materials for the kids and a desk for the new girl -- yes, they buy their own desks!! Went to a store Darlene called a Belize Wal Mart. Went to a Chinese restaurant because it was so late -- great food.
We were greeted with many hugs by the kids when we got back. Joyce led devotions with the kids then we wnt back to our rooms for coffee and visiting and off to bed after another busy day.
