Day 4 -- Wednesday
As usual Joyce and Royce were up first with Betty not far behind. This is the day the rest of the group are coming down so after breakfast Bob headed for Belize City to pick them up and this morning Royce took the kids to school. First on my agenda (Betty) was doing some laundry and moving from the big room where I was staying into Joyce's room and Royce moved into the big room where the men are all staying.
Royce worked at building a closet in one of the kids room and Joyce and Betty started filling the valentine bags the kids had decorated last night. There were lots of valentines from people who had been here on previous trips plus what we had brought with us. While we worked at that, Darlene was in the kitchen cooking up a storm!! She made cookies and cupcakes and a banana cake with yummy frosting. We finally got the valentine bags done just before the kids got home from school. After they had changed their clothes some of them came down and Joyce played games with them. She was teaching them how to play Phase 10 when they had to for back for dinner.
The crew finally got here at about 7 PM after a missed flight and many delays because of bad weather in Washington. They were tired but glad to be here. The girls were excited because there were two teenage girls who came with the work team and will be sharing a room with them.
Another busy day in Belize........Good night.
