Our group from Pleasant Hill U. B. Church included: Doug Burkett and his daughter Nikki, Tony Burkett, Wayne Kessinger, myself (Charles Burkett), and my daughter Jerika.
Our trip down was spent missing flights and hurrying up and waiting, but we made it. It started with the ice and snow at home so we left at 1:00 in the morning instead of 3:00. When we got to the airport we found that a stewardess fell on her way into the building. Since they had to have at least three to take off we waited for a new one to come in. (She apparently was ok, but went home because of feeling light headed.)
Once we got on the plane, we ended up missing our next flight because of taking off late from the first and of course then the second flight had to be held up because of a problem. All in all it was a test-full day. We finally got to Hosanna House at about 7:30pm.
Most of the children came out to greet us. Although we were exhausted, it was really neat to see the kids and the stress of the day's events quickly went away.
